Turnstyle Design recently had the chance to sit down with its principal designer Lieve Saether and her good friend, Chris Sanders of Sanders Architecture, to discuss one of “the biggest questions of all”: What’s the difference between an architect, builder, and an interior designer?

Part of the back of a well-laid out home, this private guest room with its own exterior entrance needed a touch of artistry to instantly make guests feel special. Part short-term, part long term, the goal is to ensure anyone staying over is comfortable and spoiled with all amenities.

A more traditional home at first glance, this home houses a young family of four, ready to skillfully challenge the typical expectations of its façade.

With each year, there are new innovations, new textures, materials and advances of all sorts in how we can facilitate our lives. Yet, with the new, also often comes the resurgence of older things, hence styles coming back into rotation.

There are so many ways to incorporate color into any space. Turnstyle not only embraces but celebrates, the idea of color and pattern throughout the homes we design. Not surprisingly, many people are weary of taking a walk on the wild side by adding color to their home.

Great inspiration is continuously around us. One way to feel inspired is to pursue or get lost in design books. I have always had a love of reading, not to mention a deep interest and admiration of some of our time’s great influencers.
